O'Brien Family

I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving weekend! It was great to spend time with our family!

Over the weekend Nate's sister Kelly was kind enough to let me interrupt her already busy day with four kids to take some pictures of the kids. I had a wonderful time, and would love to share some of the photos with all of you!

Ready for bed!

Lately, Coop has no problem letting us know when he's ready for bed. Maybe it's the new bed set he's so madly in love with. I am fairly certain that if he could figure out a way to lock us out of the bedroom so he could enjoy the bed all to himself for the night, he most certainly would.

Andrew's Play

This past weekend Nate, Cooper, and I loaded up and headed home to see my "little" brother, Andrew, in his fall play. I still cannot believe that he is a senior, I always swore he would be little forever. Despite the fact that he surpassed me in height years ago, he will always be my little brother.

Andrew was the main male actor, and the student director! He did a great job, and we always enjoy getting to see him act. He is looking into the theater arts in college, so hopefully there will be many more times we can enjoy his acting.

The weekend really flew by (I am still adjusting to two day weekends :( ). We did stop over at Nate's parent's house to see all of the hard work he has been doing there. It looked great! I cannot wait to see it finished.

Sadly, that is all I have for today... I hope everyone has been enjoying this wonderful weather!

Halloween Cuteness

I had to share this picture of Zander in his halloween costume. He is the cutest/friendliest mummy I have ever seen!

sleepless in iowa city...

Dear Cooper,

I know these last couple of days have been hard on you with your Papa gone. They have been hard on me also. I know it isn't ideal having him go home every week to work. Trust me I have begged him to stay as well.

I get that you think you are protecting me by telling off every little noise, but honestly it just freaks me out and makes me worry more. I know you aren't used to apartment living and you are meant to have a yard of your own, but if you see me shut a door and hear a noise it's me making the noise not the monsters that live upstairs.

While I appreciate your snuggles, I do not appreciate you barking in my face until 1 in the Morning at a noise you "think" you heard. What it really comes down to my beloveded domestic pet is...

I really need more than 4-5 hours of sleep at night!
Could you help me out here?!?
Love always and FURever,
Your very tired & out of patience Mom
P.S. Your Papa is coming home today so you better get your act together!
