Where to start...

It has been WAY to long since I last blogged! I think that everything has just finally settled back down after the holidays. We loved getting to see everyone and spend some "quality" time with no power. Living father from your family truly does make you appreciate everything a little bit more. All of the nieces and nephew grow so much and change so quickly in just a few short months. We still aren't sure exactly where we are going to end up after Nate finishes school at Palmer. Everyday he throws a new town/state at me and I just smile. We will end up wherever works best for us to start a clinic, but the older I get the more I appreciate the idea of having family near. I have to admit though I would love to live somewhere with out SNOW!

This Christmas Nate and I decided to forgo presents and spend a weekend in Galena at a local ski resort. Galena is a cute town located a little over an hour from where we are living now. It was such a cute little town with one way streets filled with little shops. We had a great time with amazing food, and a relaxing couples massage. We went over New Years, and we appreciated the quiet time together without having to worry about where we needed to be. We were sad however that we had to miss his family's Christmas.

This week we have been just getting used to getting back to school and work. It is always tough to go back after time off, but it was also really nice to be back to having a schedule. We much enjoyed that Hawkeye win this week! Go Hawks!

We would also like to congratulate Nate's cousin Jenny and her husband Eric on their new baby boy Nolan. We cannot wait to meet him!

I was also reminded how fragile life is this week as well. I am keeping a good family friend Robin Obrecht, Bryce, and Kora in my thoughts and prayers.

A native American Proverb reads: " When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Lived your life in a manner so that when you die the world cries and you rejoice."
