Awwww MOM!

Truthfully, I knew I was going to LOVE having a dog, but I never could have imagined how much. I like to refer to Cooper as my first born. This little cutie can do just about everything to get on my nerves and will I still love on him like crazy.

I wanted to share this picture above I took of him today. Yes, what are you seeing is my dog in an infants top (which I got a stopped in the infant section at Target by a coworker and she exclaimed, "is there something you haven't told me?!). No we are not expecting, I am planning on making him a pretty cool shirt out of this little bad boy this weekend, so stay tuned for that post!

Cooper also loves to sit near me while I get ready. Since the first day we got him he has always wandered around me while I get ready. In fact, he loves the hair dryer! Which is great for helping him dry after a bath. I really enjoy Cooper and Mommy time, and I feel like I need to give him as much attention I can right now. So that in a couple years when there is a "little one" running about stealing most of my attention, I will feel good knowing he had his special time and that he was/is spoiled rotten.

Rainy day in Mexico...

What to do on a rainy day on your honeymoon in Mexico? Scrabble? Why not?

The second day Nate and I were in Mexico it rained, rained, and continued to rain. Not a problem for these two newlyweds. A simple game of some "not so serious" scrabble and couple mimosas and we are good to go! I love spending some well deserved quality time with my (now) husband.

Meagen

I was so excited to have Meagen as my flower girl. For those of you who don't know Meagen is my niece and also my God Daughter. She has been so excited since I first asked her to be my flower girl. She loved her dress and getting her hair done. She also help us decorate, and even tested out some of the candy for the rest of the kids (a very important job)!

I wanted to share a quick story about the morning of my wedding. When I woke up I went down stairs, shortly after Meagen woke up and came downstairs as well. She headed right over to the couch to cuddle with me. Since it was my birthday she told me happy birthday and informed me that she needed to get to the store to get me a mermaid toy for my birthday. As she was cuddled up nice and tight to me I said, "You know Meagen, after the wedding today Nate is going to be your Uncle?!"

She grabbed on to me even tighter and said, "Thank you Julie, Thank you!"

It was the most adorable thing. Like I had given her a gift. It feels great to know how much she loves having Nate around. My wish was that she would feel special on our wedding day, and I hope she did.

Back to Normal

So I know I have some updating to do, and I promise they really are coming soon. I actually get a long weekend this upcoming weekend, so I am hoping to blog about the wedding and honeymoon then.

We have been trying to get back to normal, but we are still sort of in a little funk that we need to shake. I am really not used to having time to do stuff besides plan and answer questions. I LOVED planning the wedding, but it's nice to be able to talk to Nate about something besides what we should do for programs ect....

Which brings up to..... Nate and I have been busy since we got back trying to find him a job. We have a lead right now, and hopefully everything will continue to go well and we will be able to tell everyone where we will be located soon! Wish him luck!

I hope everyone is having a blessed day!

Decorating/Rehersal

First of all, THANK YOU to all of our friends and family that helped celebrate our BIG day. It was more than we could have ever imagined! I am actually going to update all of you in parts, as there is so much to cover.
We got in to decorate the hall on the Thursday before the wedding. Nate even helped me decorate! I am so lucky to have a husband that would help me do this. He did however get tired of it and bail on me for a nap. Thank you to everyone who helped decorate. It turned out better than I could have imagined.
That night was then the rehearsal dinner. Everything at the church went really quickly and we were out of there and on our way to eat in 30 min (thank goodness I remember where to all go the next day during the ceremony). We had the dinner at Charlie's Restaurant in Carroll. The food was great! Nate and I said goodnight, and then I was onto the business of trying to sleep. I didn't get much sleep at all the night, I just couldn't wait for our wedding day!
Here are some pictures from decorating and the rehearsal dinner. Enjoy!

One of the centerpeices. The candy bar! Nates nephew Easten just loved that the kids got all the candy they wanted for FREE!

Liz was wonderful! It wouldn't have been possible without her!
